Hello friends, there are many animals on earth that can live for hundreds of years, like the Galapagos turtle (177 years old) or the Greenland shark (272 years old), but these are not compared at age to a small creature that lives underwater.

It's about the jellyfish Turritopsis Dohrnii.

This species of jellyfish was discovered in the year 1880 in the Mediterranean Sea.It is smaller than the nail from the little finger. They are red in color and have about 90 small tentacles.

Experts said that this medysis is practically immortal or maybe they Iive up to 2000 years.I will explain you why :

When they are injured or no longer have food, they can turn back into a polyp (the development stage of the jellyfish). And he can do that endlessly.

However, this does not mean that if they are eaten by predators such as fish or turtles they will regenerate.Unfortunately, jellyfish are very vulnerable to attack by predators because they do not have a very good defense system.

Jellyfish Turritopsis Dohrnii

Even if it seems harmless, this jellyfish is extremely dangerous. If you touch the jellyfish tentacles, it will take between 5 and 40 minutes until extreme pain will occur in the lower back, it will take, respiratory problems and extreme high blood pressure can lead to more serious problems like heart failure or stroke.

Scientists have tried to find out their secret to anti-aging but even if they did, it could never produce this stage that jellyfish go through in a human body.
