Fugu fish (also called Puffer) is a fish that lives on the Asian continent. In Japan it is considered a delicacy and is very popular with the country.

This type of fish is found in certain restaurants and only chefs who have a minimum of 3 years experience can prepare this fish because in addition to its flavor, Fugu also has a deadly poison.

The liver and eyes have a poison called tetrodotoxin which is extremely dangerous for the human body, able to cause death by 6 hours after he was eaten.A Puffer fish has a poison that can kill up to 30 adult people.Unfortunately there is no known antidote for his poison.

The first symptoms of tetrodotoxin poisoning: numbness around the mouth.

Then the paralysis begins with symptoms such as tingling of the tongue, vomiting, dizziness, suffocation, weakness as well as other symptoms.

There are 350 types of fugu fish in the world but only 22 are used for food. This fish is rich in protein and nutrients, vitamins, minerals which makes it a tasty fish.

Preparation of this fish is not exactly easy, because after the poisonous parts are removed, not many eating parts remain, but, probably from a whole fish you may have the luck to eat a quarter of it,this is still a reason why it is considered a luxury fish.

In Japan, poisonous parts of the fish are stored in a special container, and then must be burned or disposed of in a way that they do not put anyone's life in danger. The failure to comply with these rules is severely punished by the japanese Gouvernement.

The poison of this fish also has good parts.A certain component of the poison helps to relieve pain in patients with cancer. That active ingredient in the poison is 3000 times stronger than morphine which helps to relieve pain from 8 to 21 days.It also does not create dependence that in the case of morphine.
